# Customize your branding

> Make Tella feel like your own brand — upload your logo, set your view page theme, customize the video player, and more.

<Note>
  Branding availability depends on your plan:

  * **Pro**: square view-page logos (including a dark-mode variant), default logo on new videos, video backgrounds, and the view page theme — brand color, background, and Auto light / dark
  * **Premium**: all of Pro, plus logos in any aspect ratio, a logo link, and a custom domain with its own favicon
</Note>

Tella's branding controls let you replace the Tella logo and favicon with your own, set a view page theme, customize how your videos look, and use your own domain — so every video you share feels like part of your own product.

## Where to find branding settings

1. Log into your Tella account.

2. Click your **workspace name** in the top-left corner.

3. Go to **Settings** → **Branding**.

On the left you'll see every setting described below. On the right you'll see a live preview showing how your changes will look on the video view page.

<Note>Only workspace owners can change branding. Other workspace members can open this page in read-only mode and see which owner to contact.</Note>

<Note>
  If you signed up with a work email, Tella suggests a logo and brand color from your company's website during onboarding, and you can adjust them in the **Style your video** step. Everything you set there can be changed later on this page.
</Note>

<Tip>Click **Reset to defaults** (the refresh icon next to the Branding title) to clear all customization and go back to the default Tella look.</Tip>

## Brand

### Logo

Upload your logo image. It replaces the Tella logo in the top-left corner of every video view page in your workspace.

On Pro, logos are cropped to a square. Premium lets you use a logo in any aspect ratio.

### Logo (dark mode)

When **Auto light / dark** is on (see [View Page Theme](#view-page-theme)), the view page switches between a light and dark variant based on the viewer's system preference. Upload a separate logo here for use on the dark variant — for example, a white version of your logo. If you leave it empty, your main logo is used in both variants.

### Logo link

Set the URL the logo should link to — usually your website homepage. When viewers click your logo, they'll be taken to this link.

<Note>The logo link only goes live on **Tella Premium**.</Note>

### Favicon

Upload your favicon. This is the small icon that shows in the browser tab when someone views a video on your validated [custom domain](/docs/help/admin/add-your-custom-domain). Tella does not replace the favicon on the shared `tella.tv` domain.

## Image upload requirements

Use a JPEG, PNG, or WebP image between 10×10 and 4032×4032 pixels for your logo, dark-mode logo, or favicon. After uploading, you can crop the image before applying it.

If Tella can't upload the image, you'll see an error and can try again or choose another file. Unsupported formats and images outside the allowed dimensions show a more specific message.

## View Page Theme

The View Page Theme controls the colors of your video view page — your brand color (used for accents like the play button, "Record your own" CTA, and links) and the background behind the video.

### Primary

Pick a brand color, then choose a background that pairs with it.

* **Brand color** — Pick from the curated swatches, or open the color picker (with eyedropper) to match an exact color from your site.
* **Background** — Once you've picked a brand color, choose from the matching background palette.

### Mixed

Browse curated brand-and-background pairs designed to look good together out of the box. Click a pair to apply both colors at once.

### Auto light / dark

Turn this on to have the view page automatically switch between a light and dark variant based on the viewer's system preference. When off, the view page always uses the colors you picked. If you have a [dark mode logo](#logo-dark-mode) uploaded, it'll be used on the dark variant.

## Logo on video

Add a logo that stays visible on top of your video content across all clips — similar to a TV channel watermark. Great for keeping your brand visible throughout the video.

You can adjust:

* **Position** — Anchor the logo to any of the four corners.
* **Scale** — Make the logo larger or smaller.
* **Padding** — Control the space between the logo and the edge of the video.

<Note>The default watermark only applies to **new videos**. Existing videos aren't affected. You can also add or override a logo on individual videos in the editor — see [Add your logo to videos](/docs/help/editing/add-your-logo-to-videos).</Note>

## Video backgrounds

Build a shared library of backgrounds — solid colors or images — available to everyone in your workspace as a quick-pick when recording. Upload your own image, or add presets from Tella's catalogue.

The selected default applies to **new recordings**. Recorders can still swap to a different background per recording in the editor, where all of Tella's built-in animated backgrounds remain available in the [Background Picker](/docs/help/editing/pick-a-background).

## Custom domain

Instead of sharing videos on `tella.tv`, connect your own domain so videos appear on a branded URL like `videos.yourdomain.com`. See [Add your custom domain](/docs/help/admin/add-your-custom-domain) for full setup instructions.

<Note>Custom domains are only available on **Tella Premium**.</Note>

## Save your changes

Click **Save branding** at the bottom of the page to apply your changes. The preview on the right updates in real time as you edit, but changes only go live after you save. Open one of your shared videos in a new tab to see the changes live on a real video.

You can configure branding on any plan. Pro includes square view-page logos with an optional dark-mode variant, the default logo on video, video backgrounds, and the view page theme. Premium adds unrestricted logo aspect ratios, a logo link, and a custom domain where your favicon is shown.
