# Join an existing workspace

> Click your workspace name, hover Workspaces, and choose Join or create workspace to see workspaces matching your work email domain; click Join or Request to join.

Click your **workspace name**, hover over **Workspaces**, and choose **Join or create workspace** to see Tella workspaces that match your work email domain, then click **Join** or **Request to join**. Tella only shows matching workspaces you have not joined yet.

## Find a workspace

1. Click your **workspace name** in the top left corner of the sidebar.

2. Hover over **Workspaces** in the dropdown menu.

3. Click **Join or create workspace**.

4. Find your team's workspace, then click **Join** or **Request to join**.

## What happens when I click Join or Request to join?

* **Join:** You are added as a Member and Tella switches you to the workspace immediately. This option appears for verified workspaces and workspaces that allow people with a matching email domain to join automatically.
* **Request to join:** Tella sends your request to the workspace owners. The workspace shows **Request sent** until an owner accepts or dismisses it.

## Can I join with a personal email address?

No. Joining is matched on your work email domain. If you use a personal address such as Gmail, Tella can't suggest matching workspaces; ask an owner to invite you instead.

## Why can't I find my team's workspace?

Tella only lists workspaces on your work email domain that you haven't joined yet. If none match, you'll see **No other workspaces on @yourdomain yet**; click **Create a new workspace** if your team does not have one. Otherwise, ask a workspace owner to [invite you](/docs/help/admin/invite-a-new-member-to-your-tella-workspace).
