# Export clips separately

> Download all or selected clips from a Tella video as individual edited MP4 files in a zip.

Use **Separate clips** when you want each clip in your Tella video as its own edited MP4 instead of one combined video.

## Download separate clips

1. Open your video in the Tella editor.
2. Click **Share**, then **Download**.
3. Under **File type**, choose **Separate clips (.zip)**.
4. Under **Clips**, keep **All clips** selected or choose the exact clips you want.
5. Choose the subtitle, video size, frame rate, and speed settings for the exported clips.
6. Click **Download**.

Tella prepares a zip containing one MP4 for each selected clip. Files are numbered in timeline order and use the clip names, for example `01 - Introduction.mp4`.

## What each file includes

Each MP4 is the composed, edited version of that clip, including its layouts, backgrounds, overlays, cuts, and other presentation edits. The same export settings apply to every selected clip.

<Note>Separate clips are different from [raw recordings](/docs/help/export-videos/export-raw-recordings). Raw exports download the underlying camera and screen tracks, while separate-clips exports preserve the finished look of each clip.</Note>
