You can record a PowerPoint or slideshow presentation in Tella by sharing your entire screen, presenting your slides, and then trimming the recording to keep only the presentation.

Before you start

  • Open your presentation in the tool you use (for example, Google Slides, Canva, or PowerPoint).
  • Open Tella on the web and get ready to start a new recording.

Record your slideshow presentation

  1. In Tella, start a new recording.
  2. Click Share screen.
  3. Select Entire screen and confirm the share.
  4. Click to start recording. You will see a countdown.
  5. Switch back to your slideshow.
  6. Start presenting your slideshow.
  7. Advance through your slides until you reach the end of your presentation.
  8. When you are done, exit the slideshow (for example, press escape).
  9. Switch back to Tella and stop the recording.

Preview and trim your recording

  1. Click Preview.
  2. Adjust the crop.
    • Crop the video down to just the window area you want to show (for example, only your slideshow window).
  3. Trim the start of the recording.
    • Cut everything before your presentation begins.
  4. Trim the end of the recording.
    • Cut everything after your presentation ends and delete the extra end section.
After trimming, you will have a clean recording that includes only the bulk of your slideshow presentation.
