The Linear integration creates Linear issues from Tella videos: connect Linear under Settings → Connections, generate a document in a video’s Ask tab, and choose Create… → Create Linear issue. The issue includes the document and a link to the video.
What you can do

Create Linear issues from AI-generated documents: Record a video, generate a summary with Tella’s AI, and create a Linear issue with one click. The video link is automatically included in the issue description.

Set a default team: Choose a default Linear team so issues are created without extra steps.

Embed Tella videos in Linear: Paste any Tella video link into Linear issues, comments, or documents and it embeds automatically. Learn more.
Connect your Linear account

Go to Settings → Connections in Tella

Find the Linear card and click Connect

Authorize Tella in the popup window

Once connected, you’ll see a “Connected” badge and can select a default team
Create a Linear issue from a video

Open a Tella video, go to the Ask tab, and generate a document in the Document generation panel (bug report, summary, meeting notes, etc.)

In the Generated document window, click Create… and select Create Linear issue

Select a team if you haven’t set a default

The issue is created with the document content and a link to your video

Click the link to open the issue in Linear
Set a default team
To skip team selection each time you create an issue:

Go to Settings → Connections

Under Linear, use the Default team dropdown to pick your team
You can switch to a different team at any time.
Disconnect Linear
To disconnect your Linear account, go to Settings → Connections and click Disconnect on the Linear card.
Linear connection needs to be refreshed
If you see Your Linear connection needs to be refreshed, access was revoked or expired on Linear’s side. Click Reconnect Linear in the document window, or reconnect from Settings → Connections. Last modified on September 28, 2026
