Tella gives a full refund within 14 days of your first paid purchase, no questions asked. Outside that window, accidental renewals (within 7 days), billing errors, and technical problems support couldn’t fix can also be refunded.

14-day satisfaction guarantee

If you’re not satisfied with your Tella subscription, you can request a full refund within 14 days of your initial purchase, with no questions asked.
This applies only to first-time purchases of a paid plan.

Can I get a refund after 14 days?

Refunds may also be granted outside the 14-day window under the following conditions:
  • Billing errors: You were charged incorrectly (e.g., duplicate payments or unauthorized charges).
  • Technical issues: You experienced technical problems that prevented you from using Tella, and our support team was unable to resolve them.
  • Accidental renewal: If your subscription was renewed without your intention to continue, you may request a refund within 7 days of the renewal date.

Can I request a refund myself?

As a workspace owner, you can request a self-serve refund on your latest paid invoice in the billing portal if:
  • You paid that invoice within the last 3 days.
  • Your workspace’s billing account has not received a refund in the last 6 months.
This can cover a first purchase, renewal, or prorated seat or plan change. Self-serve refunds are limited to one every 6 months and apply only to your latest paid invoice, not an older charge. This is separate from the 14-day satisfaction guarantee.
  1. Sign in to the workspace whose charge you want refunded.
  2. Ask the AI assistant for a refund.
  3. If it confirms you’re eligible, follow its billing portal link and request the refund there. The assistant identifies the invoice by date and amount; it does not issue the refund itself.
If you aren’t eligible, eligibility can’t be confirmed, or you want a different invoice refunded, the assistant offers a support ticket instead.

How to request a refund through support

If you can’t use the self-serve refund option, get in touch with our support team and include:
  • The email linked to your Tella account
  • The charge date and amount
  • A short explanation of the issue (optional for the 14-day refund)
See our support availability for our typical response times. Approved refunds are typically processed within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Can I get a refund for a renewal?

Tella subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle. Workspace owners can cancel at any time from Settings → Plans & Billing to stop future charges. You can request a self-serve refund for your latest renewal invoice if you meet the 3-day window and 6-month limit above. Otherwise, renewal refunds require one of the support-review conditions listed above (e.g., accidental renewal within 7 days).

Chargebacks

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback. Most issues can be resolved quickly. Accounts with unresolved chargebacks may be cancelled.

Right to make exceptions

Tella reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis. Approval of any refund outside the stated terms is at our sole discretion. If you have any questions, reach out to our support team. We’re here to help!
