Add another custom domain when the same team, brand, and subscription just need more share URLs. Create a new workspace when something other than the link has to be different: who can see the videos, the logo and colors on the view page, the CTA buttons, security settings, or who pays.

What changes with each domain, and what stays the same

A custom domain only changes the address a share link uses. Everything else is set once per workspace and applies to every domain the workspace connects: So two domains in one workspace show the same logo, favicon, colors, and CTA buttons. If you need a different look per brand, a domain alone won’t give you that.

When to add another custom domain

Add a domain in Settings → Domain when:
  • You run several brands or product lines that can share one logo and CTA, and want links on each brand’s website, like videos.brand-a.com and videos.brand-b.com.
  • You want a separate domain for a region or campaign, like demo.yourdomain.com for sales and learn.yourdomain.com for customer education.
  • You’re moving to a new domain and want old links to keep working. Videos open on every connected domain, so you can switch the default without breaking anything you’ve shared.
You pick the domain for each video or playlist from its Share dialog, and the Default domain covers everything else. See Add your custom domain. Premium includes one domain. Each additional one costs $10/month, or $8/month billed annually, up to 25 per workspace, all on the one subscription.

When to create a new workspace

Create a new workspace when:
  • Each brand needs its own logo, colors, favicon, or CTA buttons. Branding is set per workspace.
  • Different people should work on different videos. Members, videos, and playlists belong to one workspace, so a separate workspace keeps them fully apart.
  • You’re an agency or freelancer working for clients. A workspace per client keeps their videos, branding, and members separate, and makes it easy to hand the workspace over later with Transfer workspace ownership.
  • Someone else pays. Each workspace has its own subscription and invoices, so a client or department can be billed directly.
  • A group needs different security settings, such as its own SSO or default video permissions.
Each workspace needs its own subscription, and a custom domain needs Premium in that workspace. Switch between workspaces from your workspace name in the top left.

Can one custom domain be used in two workspaces?

No. A domain can be connected to only one workspace at a time. To move it, remove it in Settings → Domain in the old workspace, then add it in the new one. Once it’s verified there, it works only for videos and playlists in the new workspace. Links on that domain to videos that stayed in the old workspace stay broken, so share those again from their own workspace’s domain or move the videos first.

Can I move videos to the new workspace?

Not with a button. Download and re-upload a few videos, or ask support to migrate many. See Move videos to another workspace.
