Tella for Mac needs macOS 13.1 (Ventura) or later on an Apple Silicon or Intel Mac, an upload speed of at least 2.5–5 Mbps, and 5–10 GB of free disk space.

Minimum requirements for Tella for Mac

  • macOS 13.1 (Ventura) or later. Older versions of macOS are not supported. Update to at least macOS 13.1 to use the app.
  • Apple Silicon or Intel. The app runs natively on both, so no Rosetta is needed.
  • Internet connection with an upload speed of at least 2.5–5 Mbps for reliable uploads. Test your speed here.
  • Free disk space of at least 5–10 GB before recording. Tella temporarily saves recordings to local storage before uploading them, so longer or higher-quality recordings need more space. See why you might see the low disk space warning.
If your Mac can’t run Ventura, you can still record with the web app in a supported browser. See the minimum usage requirements.
