Flip your camera horizontally after recording by turning on Mirror camera in the editor’s Adjust panel, or right-click your camera on the canvas and choose Flip horizontally. Mirroring applies to the whole clip, and Apply to all clips mirrors every clip at once. Mirror camera toggle in the Adjust menu

Flip the camera from the canvas

Right-click the webcam layer directly on the canvas and choose Flip horizontally. The flip applies immediately without opening any panel.

Flip your camera from a sidebar

  1. Open your video in the Tella editor.
  2. Select the clip where you want to flip the camera layer.
  3. Click Adjust in the sidebar, or press A.
  4. Toggle Mirror camera on.
You can also change the same setting while working in either of these places:
  • Open Layout, select Customize layout, and use Mirror camera in the camera controls.
  • Open the camera crop tool and use Mirror camera below the preview.
The camera flips immediately, and every place shows the current setting.

Mirror the camera in every clip

Mirroring applies per clip. To flip the camera in every clip at once, click Apply to all clips next to Mirror camera in the Adjust panel. You can also select each clip and turn on Mirror camera individually.
Mirroring applies to the clip’s camera layer, so if the clip uses several layouts they all mirror together. There’s no way to mirror the camera for just one layout within a clip.

Will mirroring flip text in my camera shot?

Yes. Flipping the image also mirrors any text or logos visible in your camera, which may make them unreadable. Toggle Mirror camera off to return to the original orientation.
