Tella’s web app and Chrome extension record audio at 128 kbps, encoded with Opus (in WebM) or AAC (in MP4) depending on your browser, at a 48 kHz sample rate.
128 kbps is the target bitrate for all browser recordings, in Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, and Arc. In Chrome, it is also the maximum the browser allows; other browsers may behave slightly differently.
