Setting the default playback speed
As the video creator, you can set the default playback speed that viewers will see when they first open your video.From the Share menu
- Open your video in the Tella editor.
- Click on the Share button.
- Select Viewer Settings.
- Find the Default Playback Speed option. You can choose between 1.0x, 1.2x, 1.5x, 1.7x, and 2.0x.
- Choose your preferred default speed from the dropdown menu.
From the view page
- Navigate to your video’s view page.
- Click on the Settings button.
- Look for the Default Playback Speed option. You can choose between 1.0x, 1.2x, 1.5x, 1.7x, and 2.0x.
- Select the speed you want viewers to start with.
How viewers adjust playback speed
On desktop, viewers can change the playback speed from the video player. The control’s location depends on the player’s width.- In a wide player, click the speed button (it shows the current speed, such as 1.0x). In a narrow player or embed, click More (…) and choose Speed.
- A menu will appear with different speed options.
- Choose from speeds like 1.0x, 1.2x, 1.5x, 1.7x, and 2.0x.
- The video will immediately play at the selected speed.
