Workspace owners can permanently delete a workspace from the workspace settings. This removes the workspace and its settings immediately and cancels any active subscription.
Deleting a workspace cannot be undone in Tella. Transfer any videos you want to keep before proceeding. If you delete a workspace by mistake, contact support within 30 days to ask whether its videos can be recovered.

Prerequisites

  • You must be the Owner of the workspace.
  • All other members must be removed from the workspace before you can delete it.

Delete your workspace

  1. Click your workspace name in the top left corner of the sidebar.
  2. Select Settings.
  3. Go to the General tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Danger zone section.
  5. Click Delete workspace.
  6. If you have videos in the workspace, you will be asked whether you want to transfer them to another workspace or delete them (see below).
  7. Confirm the deletion.

Transfer videos to another workspace

During the deletion process, you can choose to transfer your videos to another workspace you belong to. This moves all videos from the workspace being deleted into the target workspace before the deletion completes. If you skip this step, the videos are removed from your library immediately and permanently deleted after 30 days.

What happens when you delete a workspace

  • The workspace, its members, and its settings are removed immediately.
  • Videos you did not transfer are removed from your library and scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days.
  • All share links and embeds for deleted videos stop working.
  • Any active Stripe subscription is cancelled automatically.
  • Custom domains and integrations are removed.

Recover videos after an accidental deletion

If you deleted a workspace by mistake, contact support@tella.com as soon as possible. Include the email address on your Tella account, the workspace name, and approximately when you deleted it. Support may be able to move the deleted workspace’s videos into one of your current workspaces during the 30-day recovery window. The deleted workspace itself, including its members, settings, custom domains, and integrations, cannot be restored. After 30 days, the videos and their media are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.
Deleting a workspace does not delete your Tella account. You can continue using other workspaces or create a new one.
