Quick fix: Restart your devices
In most cases, a simple restart resolves the issue:- Restart your Mac.
- Restart your iPhone.
- Open Tella and check if your iPhone appears as a camera source.
Still not working?
If a restart doesn’t help, check the following:- Connecting via Cable - Plug your phone into your computer and try selecting it as a camera source
- Same Apple ID - Your Mac and iPhone must be signed into the same Apple ID.
- Wi-Fi and Bluetooth - Both must be enabled on both devices. They don’t need to be on the same Wi-Fi network, but Wi-Fi and Bluetooth need to be on.
- iPhone Continuity Camera - On your iPhone, go to Settings → General → AirPlay & Continuity and make sure Continuity Camera is turned on.
- Software versions - Your Mac needs macOS Ventura (13) or later, and your iPhone needs iOS 16 or later.
- Close other apps - If another app (like Zoom or FaceTime) is using your iPhone as a camera, it won’t be available in Tella. Quit those apps first.
If nothing’s working
Try resetting the Continuity Camera connection:- On your iPhone, go to Settings → General → AirPlay & Continuity.
- Toggle Continuity Camera off, wait a few seconds, then toggle it back on.
- Restart both devices again.
