Document generation is an experimental feature that lets you create text-based content from a Tella video.
This feature lives on the video view page, so it is most useful when you share videos with other people. If you usually export videos out of Tella and do not share a Tella link, this may be less relevant for your workflow.
What document generation does
- Creates written content from your video, such as documentation, summaries, and other text outputs.
- Can be used by you and by anyone viewing a shared video link.
Where to find it
Open a video and go to the video view page. You will see the document generation option in the top area of the page. How to generate a document from your video
- Open the video view page.
- Open document generation by clicking the document icon.
- Choose what you want to generate (for example, summary).
- Wait a moment while Tella generates the text.
How to use the generated text
After the text is generated, you will see it as a document. From there, you can:- Download it as a text file.
- Copy the text and paste it into another tool, save it somewhere else, or use it however you like.
Who can use it
You can use document generation, and your viewers can use it too. If you share a video link, anyone with access to that video can generate text from it.Default settings for existing videos and new videos
- For existing videos, document generation is off by default.
- For new videos, document generation is on by default.
